No blood for you!

As you can see from the picture, i gave blood. Unfortunately, the thing is, i didn't. On Wednesday, i rock up to the Red Cross Office in the city and go through all the paper work, and blood testing in order to give blood. So, they give me the all clear, and insert the needle into my right arm, which let me tell you was beyond frightening, as this needle is bigger than the immunisation one, and it's my first time donating. Problem! The blood just doesn't seem to flow. There i am, sitting on the chair with dozens of people around me giving blood with no blood flowing through the tube thing. Everyone else's blood flows just fine, it's just mine that's all stuffed up.

It was so stupid, because i prepared for this soooooo much. I drank so much water, so that the blood with flow, that i went to the toliet so many times as a result. Highly embarassing.

Anyways, the nurse was lovely and was like, it's not your fault i just couldn't find the vein, and blah blah blah, we're going to have to pull the needle out. So they do. And a minute later, blood is slowly coming out of the hole. Gah! It hurt, so much. It literally felt like burning when the needle went in. Then she bandages my arm up, and gets another nurse. The nurse comes over, and asks me if i want to try my other arm. I'm like, why the hell not? I mean, i psyched myself up for this so much, i was going to give blood dammit!

We go through the whole process again, and what happens? The blood doesn't flow again. It was better this time, because i got a little to flow, but it just wasn't working. Only about 2 tablespoons of blood. It was so frustrating. Once again, they take the needle out, and bandage my other arm up.

So, in a week or two, i'm going back. Hopefully they'll get some blood out of me. Fingers crossed.

Right. In 12 hours (about) i will be sitting my last exam in exam block, Maths C.

Right now, i'm supposed to be studying.

I tried studying, then realised that, there's sooooo much i need to learn. I thought, "Maths C? I can do that. I'll be right." But NO! There's just so damn much. I have a feeling i'll be up for at least another hour, which sucks. I just hope i remember everything.

Toodles for now.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, i sat the QCS Test along with all the other Year 12 students in Queensland. It was ok. I'm not too sure how i went, but i'm sure it was fine. Everyone was really really happy when it ended, but now we all get to fret about exams, which are next week.

Next week, i have six exams; english, chemistry, maths b, physics, biology and finally maths c. I'm a bit nervous, and not feeling very prepared. This weekend i'm going to go into study overdrive. On Saturday, i'm going to for a walk along the river, and properly "flag" my Othello book. That should be english done, once i read over my pratice exam and study the example paper my teacher gives me. For chemistry and biology, it's really all memorising, and doing a couple of exercises. I'm not too worried. Maths b? That's going to be a disaster. All i can do is try my best. The same with physics. Maths c is going ok. I know how to do stuff, but i also don't know how to do stuff. I've got til friday though, so it's just gradual revision until then.

Today i had Erskine Cup finals. Not the real finals, but the second short listing finals. I think i went ok. Everyone had really interesting speeches, and mine was only on smoking. I felt really boring. I won't be upset if i don't get through. I'm just happy to have gotten this far, as i'm not a public speaker. I generally freak out, and shake like mad. We should find out tomorrow who got through, as it'll be one of the last opportunities to tell us before exam block. The actual finals are on the tuesday after exam block, so not much time at all.

This weekend i'm off to Celine's place. To do what, i'm not entirely sure. It should be ok, Ruth'll be there too.

That is all for now. I'm off to study!

Life as an eighteen year old, ain't that much different from being a seventeen year old.

I'll update on my birthday in a bit. I haven't forgotten! XD

So, i'm in my last hours of being an under 18. It's kind of sad actually. I'm going to be all grown up, which is terribly frightening. I mean, am i going to change? And if so, how much? Eek! I'll be able to be arrested, drink, buy cigarettes, get married and oh so much more.

I guess, all i can really do, is wait until tomorrow and see what happens.

Just a small little preview of my collection. The weekend's not over yet, Supanova is still alive and kicking, and i'm sure, positively sure i'll get better ones. XD

Today was the best day ever.

PS. Biology is a pain in the ass.
